INTRODUCTION
Toyota Industries Corporation was founded in 1926 by Sakichi Toyoda. It  is the world’s largest vehicle manufacturer. It conducts its business worldwide. Toyota’s vehicles are sold in more than 170 countries and regions. It employs approximately 320,808 people worldwide. It leads the automobile industry in environmental technologies with the success of the hybrid technology in the Prius and Hybrid Camry

COMPANY STRATEGY
Toyota's management philosophy has evolved from the company's origins and has been reflected in the terms "Lean Manufacturing" and Just In Time Production,

"Toyota Way 2001," expresses under the two headings of Respect for People and Continuous Improvement. Toyota summarizes its values and conduct guidelines in five principles.

NATURE OF THE COMPANY 
Toyota is a diverse organization which has a proud mix of cultures, ages, gender, religions and beliefs that make up the melting pot of its international employees. This diversity of workplace that they should be taking advantage of by recognizing and respecting both their similarities and differences. Toyota expects that whilst in the workplace all employees will be tolerant towards others.

The core business of Toyota is car manufacturing which has already been established since 1926. But Toyota has been expanding ever since from businesses like Automotive accessories and material, Condominium and buildings to textile products and textile material.

In a nutshell, Toyota has really expanded its businesses from only vehicle manufacturing to other businesses. As their strategy and pragmatic knowledge management has help them to achieve success

KNOWLEDGE PROCESS

In order to provide innovative, safe and outstanding high-quality products and services that meet the needs of customers through “research and innovation”, TOYOTA has established research and development centers around the world. These centers are well-staffed with leading innovators and actively cooperate with other TOYOTA group companies, as well as universities and research institutes, in order to strongly promote research and development of advanced technologies in various fields.
TOYOTA does not tolerate research and development that violates any applicable laws or breaches of its agreements with its research and development partners. TOYOTA also does not tolerate the illegal or unauthorized use of another party’s intellectual property.
Our goal is to develop vehicles from the customers’ perspective and to promote research and development. We respect the views of our research and development partners and seek to cultivate and maintain mutual trust. In addition, we use our best efforts to build a relationship of mutual trust by satisfying our obligations to our partners. We shall be mindful of respecting the intellectual property rights of others when conducting research and development and when realizing production.
